Production can be carried out on both cold-rolled and heat galvanised steel in thicknesses from 0,4 to 1,25 mm. The maximum width is 850 mm.
We also coat Aluminium.
Production proceeds as an ongoing process, where coils of untreated steel are exposed to various treatment processes, which clean and prepare the steel, before final lacquering or laminating. Automatic checking takes place throughout the process; for colour correction and film thickness , using methods developed by the trade sector’s parent body, ECCA, (European Coil Coating Association). The steel is then finally wound into a finished surface-treated coil for split rings, or is cut into format plates which suit most production requirements.
Coils can be provided with many different surface coatings, e.g. laminates in various patterns and/or types. Smooth or rough coatings with Plastisol. Matt or shiny polyester lacquering in a vast range of colours.

Metalcolour has an uncompromising policy of delivering to the quality specified. As an example of this, we test every single coil for the correct colour and bend properties before it leaves our factory.
Requirements for the finished article can vary greatly from sector to sector. This may relate to technical specifications, the actual quality of the steel itself, mechanical characteristics, the type of coating, its properties and/or special colours.
These are adjusted after close consultation with the customer and following meticulous analysis.
From that point, and by virtue of our ISO 9001 certification, we can always guarantee the right delivery at the right time for the customer. Our certification is based on self checking. This means that a supplier/customer relationship exists between all the staff involved in the production process … each individual member of staff is thus responsible for ensuring that the product he/she hands over to the next link in the chain has been checked and is in order.
Over and above our ISO 9001 certification, Metalcolour also has brand certification. We are also fully informed about, and follow strictly, all sector related directives, and are happy to work out special requirement specifications in cooperation with our customers. |
